POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of this highly collaborative role is to work with business process owners to translate business requirements into system designs, and lead system implementation. You will help support business partners in the development and expansion of our data analytics, reporting activities and data governance. The role requires a rare combination of business analytics and data architecture expertise.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop standards and processes to establish/ maintain data consistency & integrity across the organization
  • Map source data sets and analyze against stated business needs to establish conceptual, logical and physical data models that enable efficient enterprise reporting
  • Establish scalable data processes for updating or adding new information within business analytics reports
  • Design and manage data warehousing & enterprise reporting systems; support self-service reporting
  • Document business requirements, business logic and system design; generate user training documentation
  • Identify cost-effective next-generation software solutions in support of business requirements; map into current data structure
  • Provide design recommendations for solutions. Design includes documentation, graphical representation, and presentations that describe the desired solution or product feature. Documentation includes application flow designs, volume and usage predictions and user interface/experience design concepts. Solutions should be reusable and in alignment with current business and technology strategies.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities that will support business goals, provide users with alternatives that enhance performance and efficiency as well as develop functional/technical solutions.
  • Evaluates user requests for enhancements and/or upgrading of highly complex business systems.
  • Providing regular clear communication to management, key stakeholders, project managers, and IT is also essential.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years’ experience or 10+ years related equivalent experience
  • 5+ years translating business requirements into data solutions
  • Experience in Data Warehouse Design & Data Governance, familiarity with Data Visualization tools
  • ERP & related business process knowledge (supply chain, mfg, order entry, etc.)
  • General knowledge of business planning / financial management
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies and data standards
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new programs and approach new problems in an efficient methodical manner
  • SQL, Web programming, IBM DB2 knowledge
  • Expert in Excel (esp. Power Query, Power Pivot)
  • Strong collaborator, commitment to teamwork, highly motivated, flexible, self-starter
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving and attention to detail
