We are currently seeking an Accounting Intern (Part-time) who will assist Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting with items relating to the processing and recording of transactions by following standardized procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Verifies and posts accounts receivable transactions through cash application
• Contacts customers for details on short pays
• Prepares bank deposits when necessary
• Balances Accounts Receivable sub-ledger regularly
• Assists Accounts Payable by reviewing Accounts Payable invoices for approvals and vouches into MAPICS
• Performs General Ledger balance sheet account analysis
• Prepares and enters journal entries
• Reviews packing slips to ensure revenue recognition rules are adhered to
• Filing as required
• Performs other duties as required

Education / Experience Requirements

• High school degree and pursuing a field related Bachelor's degree
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
